Welcome to Hollywood!

Want to become an actor?

Move to Hollywood! You won't get the opportunities nor immediate acceptance as an actor anyplace else in the world. Research online for monologues and scripts to become familiar with and be able to recite at an audition. Monologues: 1 for comedy, and 1 for drama: http://www.actorpoint.com/monologue.html

Get used to watching television and films differently--look for the actors' body language, emotional reach, eye contact and expressions, and mouth movement. Let the best of them guide you--know who the best of them are! Charlie Sheen is television's highest paid actor. Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, Matt Daemon, Angelina Jolie, Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep, Will Smith, Kate Winslet, Tom Hanks, etc.--these are all A+ actors in the Hollywood film set!

And Will Smith says it best here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkziAM_ZyDM. Very impacting and motivating, this man, this video truly keeps me inspired--a powerful how to on getting out of your own way and becoming a success.

Let me know if you have any specific questions, and if there is anything else I can think of I will post an update. The one biggest thing is that you CLAIM IT NOW--you ARE an actor, beginning or otherwise, so get comfortable with telling this to people. :)

"Life Without A Fork," Documentary Feature Film: Random...

Chronic recurring idiopathic angioedema--the toll it has taken on my life:

Random...
  • I have a celebrity friend flying in from New York who invited me to a business meeting at the Cheesecake Factory--he just texted me to apologize for inviting me to the Cheesecake Factory
  • I have eaten only tofu and corn for nearly six months--it's what I know to be safe
  • I eat one meal a day--dinner
  • I am always hungry
  • The nausea is all day everyday and one of the worst feelings like ever
  • The headaches started coming about two months ago--they are overbearing and I can't even sleep through them
  • Everything is so heavy to me, my Blackberry feels like it has the weight of a laptop and my laptop feels as weighty as a 43" television
  • I am always swollen--lips, legs, hands, feet, belly
  • I wake up with huge lips and lots of swelling everyday
  • I may have to use my walker on the same day that I am able to go bike riding
  • I have a walker
  • I am always sleepy
  • I am always tired
  • I am so tired of being and feeling sick everyday that I don't really want to talk about it anymore--I suffer in quiet and work toward achieving my goals
  • My goal is to complete the documentary feature film, "Life Without A Fork," by March 2012 and find a way to survive IA

More Info
Specifics given throughout the weeks as we get closer to date. Pass this on to friends, family, colleagues, absolutely everyone.

Be there and show support as we work to find cause and cure for idiopathic angioedema!

--------------------------------------------------

This is the first annual flash mob (I plan to do annually) to acknowledge idiopathic angioedema--and for me, a modern day take of, "walk for the cure!" It's not very time consuming and people will be asked to meet at several specific places across the globe, at a certain time--as stated in the event, and perform a particular action. Should be lots of fun and help to get us sufferers officially on the map to find cause and cure. People will film and we will publicize the footage! I'm totally psyched about it.

"Life Without A Fork," Documentary Feature Film 02

Synopsis

Diana, Princess of Wales’ many struggles with depression led to her recurring eating disorder, bulimia nervosa.

Manuel Uribe Garza, the world's fattest man, weighs 1,235 pounds, his morbid obesity largely attributing to challenges he faces like inability to move and walk.

Kurt Cobain, an American musician, best known for his roles as lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter for the rock band Nirvana, struggled with severe despondency, persistent bronchitis, and acute physical pain due to an undiagnosed long-standing stomach affliction—many doctors guessing that it was either a result of some form of childhood disease or stress related, with none being able to pinpoint the specific cause by the time of his death.

Whether dis-ease of the mind causes disease in the body, or the reverse, the public’s fascination with medical mysteries is at an all-time high as they continue to give audience to such televised docu-dramas as Discovery Health, Diagnosis Unknown, and Mystery Diagnosis.

Life Without A Fork is an 110-minute runtime documentary film that follows the real-life accounts of Vanessa Williams and co-stars, Brian Holden, Shelline Ross, Heather Campbell, Jacqueline Griffin, and Spencer Slama as they live with the rare non-hereditary form of the condition known as chronic angioedema, an orphan's disease that has been given very little analysis and research, and is idiopathic in that physicians do not know what causes it. This life-threatening condition is triggered by medications, dyes, environmental components, foods, trauma, and other elements that act as allergens, releasing histamine into the blood stream, and oft times causing anaphylactic shock. In addition to an extremely stripped down diet—usually mimicking anorexia—and other necessary avoidances, the major treatment to date is large quantities of antihistamines on a daily basis and, when exacerbated, epinephrine injections and steroids--although these drugs prove to be ineffective for HAE suffers, as well as the rarer, Bradykinin forms of angioedema.

From the humorous to the emotional and from the practical to the educational, Life Without A Fork’s segments range from how to’s on maintaining a healthful lifestyle, history and timelines, food limitations, excessive weight loss and its physical impact, relevant support groups, and medical practitioners. There are testimonials from fellow sufferers, family, and friends and endorsements from such featured celebrities as Dolph Lundgren—star of the $350,000,000 grossing film, Rocky IV, Quinton Aaron—star of Oscar award winning movie, The Blind Side, Doug E. Fresh—a renowned founder of hip-hop and the infamous human beat box, Amin Joseph, star of The Expendables, Chef and Food Network All Star, Debbie Lee, and more.

There are many people who have fallen prey to this condition and whose lives may be saved by making this infirmity as publicized and important as the more reputed diseases of Parkinson’s, fibromyalgia, diabetes, cardiovascular, and cancer.
